As you may have noticed Simple Silhouttes is one of my go to sites for bridesmaids dresses. I love their super sassy style with the extra attention to detail. Check out their new styles for 2009. Funky yet sophisticated, totally cute!

Last week Joanna and I were talking about her bouquet and she mentioned anemones. I squealed (yes, squealed!) because I had spent the night before pouring over the beautiful anemones bouquets! I think they are such an interesting and unique flower. They come in an array of color choices and are in bloom November through May. Love it!

5. I’ll get a spot in the garage! Right now, with the freezing ice in the forecast, this sounds like the best wedding present ever.
4. Breakfast (probably with eggs). I eat such sad, lonely, cold cereal breakfasts right now, but Brad has promised me full, healthy breakfasts cooked for me while I do my hair and makeup. If this happens even once a week, I’ll consider myself the luckiest girl in the world!
3. Costco membership. Have you SEEN the size of their brownie mix boxes??
2. My future husband is totally hot. ‘Nuff said.
1. No more goodbyes. I know this is probably melodramatic, but it’s so heartbreaking to say goodbye at the end of each day and separate. Not after May 16! YAY!

This would be the perfect scheme for a fun, casual summer wedding. I was inspired by the adorable cupcakes from Vanilla Bake Shop (you must check out their site). Mixing in a more casual pattern adds a punch of personality to the look.

18 cakes, to be exact. At the risk of giving away every fun detail of our wedding, I’m letting you know that Brad and I are having not one, not two, but 18 cakes of assorted flavors at our wedding. (Get excited!!) We know so many people who make AWESOME cakes that we decided to forgo a traditional cake and make tons of delicious layer ones instead. We’ll still have one that’s our “official” cake, but also be on the lookout for a lemon cake, a chocolate peanut butter cake, a carrot cake, and, of course, a chocolate-chocolate-chocolate cake for me! Brad has an extra-special groom’s cake planned–if you know what it is, don’t tell! It will be way more fun to see everyone’s reaction at the wedding.

Both Brad and I have been having dreams about our wedding lately. Yeah, I know, we think about it a lot, but our dreams are so random and usually involve one of us forgetting something. I forgot to get my hair and make up done in one. I forgot to order a dress long enough (and almost missed a flight with my mom) in another. Brad forgot to wear a tie and then discovered that we were going to live with my family post-marriage. Happy wedding present! Hahaha. We keep saying as long as we’re married at the end of the day, it will be a success. Tie or no tie.
I’m predicting my next dream will be like this picture. Me and the girls racing to get somewhere and along the way we’ll probably have to stop and try to put socks on, but they won’t get on no matter how much we try, because dreams are random like that.

It’s probably totally apparent now that I’m obsessed with green! But I promise its the perfect color to throw into your wedding scheme because it works during any time of the year, just choose your second color depending on the season. The lime and chocolate look would go perfect in the fall or winter. Throw in a little pink and its a summer/spring scheme.

It’s official–we have a photographer! Brad and I really wanted someone with a photojournalist style that could capture more candid moments. (Parents, don’t worry. We’re still grabbing a few traditional shots.) The casual style of Art of Light Photography is so us. After looking at a couple of their shoots, we knew they could make any location look fabulous. I totally want to rock some stained glass like this bride did.
We’re thrilled they were available! Check out their site here and their blog here. Then count down the days (157…) until we get ours taken.
Thanks to bestie Kaelin for the lead!
